Information about the site

The Energiavirasto.fi website mainly contains information and instructions for companies operating in the sectors of the Energy Authority as well as for others following the field. General information by sectors is available on the Industries pages. All instructions for dealing with the Energy Authority have been collected on the e-Services pages.

The Consumers pages contains information on buying electricity and online electricity services in particular.

The website has been published in Finnish and Swedish and, to a limited extent, in English.

Attachments

Several pdf and Excel files have been published on the website. You need a free Adobe Acrobat Reader, for example, to read pdf files.

Cookies

Non-essential cookies enabled by the user collect data about the functionality, accessibility and visitor traffic of the site. The data collected includes the pages visited, the time of the visit, and the web browser and operating system used. The operation of the website is monitored using the Siteimprove service (third-party cookies).

We do not collect any data that could identify an individual visitor.

Visitor data is collected on the Consumers pages as part of the monitoring of the implementation of the EU Regulation (EU) 2018/1724 on the digital gateway. In addition to the page URL, the pages connected to the digital gateway collect the number of visitors, their country, and the terminal device used. The data are collected anonymously and cannot be used to identify the user. The data will only be available to the Finnish Energy Authority, the European Commission, and national coordinators mentioned in the regulation. The data collected are stored in the EU Commission's repository for a maximum period of three years, after which they are automatically deleted.
